Article Marketing Merges with Video Marketing Creating a Powerful Combo Punch

Article marketing and video marketing are two well established forms of communication and can be very effective in  driving traffic to your website. However most publishing mediums have certain limitations that can greatly reduce that effectiveness. Today we look at a new publishing medium where articles and video come together with fewer limitation to help you, the author, drive interested people to your desired destinations.

There’s a little more to it than that but before we get into that, let’s discuss some of the upsides and downsides of conventional article and video marketing publishing mediums.

Most have very stringent rules regarding article structure, linking throughout the article, if allowed at all and numerous advertisements that separate your article from your bio box, the only place you are usually allowed to embed links. Not to mention the expectation that everyone should have a college degree in English. I feel this is very short sighted as many people who are experts in various fields may not be eloquent in their written word but have years of experience to share which the article directories visitors would benefit greatly from.

Conventional Video Marketing

If “The pen is mightier than the sword” and “A picture is worth a thousands words”, what might the value of a video be? The answer is probably ‘priceless’. Creating video is relatively easy to do using top of the line software like Camtasia or even a free one like CamStudio.

The downside to video marketing, again… usually lies withing the publishing mediums, ie: video directories. While you are free to mention your websites name in the video, the chances of someone actually opening up a new browser and typing it in are not overwhelming. Your real advertising opportunity lies within setting up your profile page and hoping someone clicks through to learn more about you or maybe you’ve learned how to put a link in the sidebar description but still don’t count on a huge amount of clickthroughs unless your video is exceptional and compelling.

It’s time for a publishing medium that allows authors to provide quality content to visitors without worrying about the grammar police rejecting everything because they didn’t use a conditional, qualifier or conjunction correctly all while providing quality content for the publishing site which will maximize revenue for that website using your freely provided content while minimizing your revenue capabilities along the way.
