Greyhat Video Marketing Technique That Cranks Out Greenbacks

Secret grey-hat marketing technique that allows you to profit from the thousands of videos posted on YouTube, Google Videos, etc.. without ever turning on a recording device, editing or uploading any video content of your own. That’s right, here’s a method that allows you to cash in on existing videos. Plus a few more advanced methods that will really allow you to crank up your video marketing cash machine, all with just a few simple clicks!

For the purposes of this guide, I will just use YouTube from here on out but you can use any video service you like that allows embedding. Nor will this article be lengthy, this is a very simple and quick to implement method and doesn’t require much explaining but it does work.

As you may have heard, Video Blogging is all the rage right now. Everywhere you look, videos, videos, videos. Videos on YouTube, Video Testimonials, Video Sales Copy, the list goes on and on. What you may not realize is that it’s possible for YOU to take advantage of this with very little effort yourself.

The first thing you want to do is locate videos for the niche you want to market.

The key to finding the right video is to find one without much advertising throughout the video or that does not strongly compel you to open a new browser and type the url that was displayed across the video, or appeared in the intro/exit or that the person making the video verbally offered.

Before you start asking yourself whether that’s even legal, let alone ethical, let’s take a look at exactly what YouTube marketing is all about.

People create and upload their videos for a reason. They want the exposure. As a matter of fact, when uploading your video to YouTube, you have the option of not allowing it to be embedded in third party websites. When they choose “yes”, they are doing so because they want the most exposure for their video that they can get. Embedding their videos on your website is exactly what they agreed to when they uploaded and checked the box to allow embedding of their video. The code to embed their video in your page is even posted right there for you to use. Do you think that would be there if it was not ok to use?

Some people are excellent video creators but have poor salesmanship when asking the viewer to go to their website, others are very compelling by offering something free, more in a series of videos not published on YouTube or something else equally compelling. I’m using the word “compelling” quite a bit and there’s a reason for it. “Compelling” is the most important component when creating your own videos, you have to make that viewer really want to go through the effort of opening a new browser and typing in that url

That’s where you come in.

You offer that viewer an easy alternative to opening a new browser and typing in the url to get where they want to go.

Here are a few samples of this method.

Starting A Window Tinting Business Squidoo Lense
Starting A Window Washing Business Squidoo Lense

Here’s another example for an internet marketing niche where the video is directly targeted for a specific product. This video has a guy who is showing how easy it is to set up and use “Build A Niche Store” (BANS).

Build A Niche Store Squidoo Lense

It’s already been explained in the text on the page but nothing really gets the point across like a video, especially one that actually shows the product being used. Notice the links to purchase “BANS” conveniently located around the video. If the viewer is interested, they can simply click a link and go directly the the actual salespage.

Squidoo makes it VERY quick and simple to embed YouTube Videos, just add in the module, give the url you want and that’s it. Go ahead and change the settings on the module to not show the description, etc.., you just want the video. The reason being most people place a url in the description and you don’t want that.

So, how many Squidoo Lenses can you create a day? Ten, twenty, fifty? Squidoo does limit the number you can create a day but it’s easy to just create new gmail accounts and more Squidoo accounts. You can make this really easy on yourself, Download my FREE Step by Step RoboForm Marketing Guide. (There’s some really cool tips on using it for link trades, classified ad submissions, article research & submissions, product creation and more.

Next, read “A Web 2.0 Marketing Guide On Using Social Network Squidoo“, this will show you how to drive loads of targeted buyers to your Squidoo pages. It doesn’t matter whether you have one or ten thousand sales pages if no one ever sees them.

There are other ways to make serious money from Squidoo and since it’s free to build lenses, this is a fantastic way to generate high profit because you have no overhead. Here’s an ebook written buy a guy who made $4,198.94 in 29 Days…and over $11k in 3 months using Squidoo. If you want to make even more money with Squidoo, have a look at “Unlimited Affiliate Riches Using Squidoo Methods“. He even starts you from scratch and walks you through setting up your lense, polishing it out, marketing it, etc..

To use this video marketing method with a normal blog like Wordpress I suggest Vipers Video Quicktag Plugin. Simply click one of the new buttons that this plugin adds to the write screen (rich editor included) and then paste the URL that the video is located at into the prompt box — easy as that. You can fully configure how the videos are displayed (width, height, alignment on the page) and much more. Best of all, it won’t break your page’s (X)HTML validation.

This plugin currently supports YouTube, Google Video, IFILM, Metacafe, MySpace and Vimeo. As well as these file types: QuickTime (MOV, etc.), Generic video files (AVI, MPEG, WMV, etc.), Flash Video Files (FLV).

To see an example of this video marketing technique being used on a blog, see “Will 12 Month Millionaire Really Help Someone Build an Online Business?“.

Looks real easy right? That’s because it IS!

Just write out something in your own words so that it is unique content, you can write a “review” or just reword the products sales letter in your own words, drop the video(s) in and place some convenient links for the viewers. The rest is standard traffic generation practices for your blog.

If you’ve never built a website before and not sure where to start. Here’s what you need to do to get going in three simple steps.

1. Register a domain name
2. Set up hosting
3. Learn How To Set Up Your Own WordPress Blog

After you’ve set up your hosting, you will have the ability to set up an unlimited number of websites/blogs. You can either register new domain names for each one or use sub-domains. Sub-domains are probably the easiest way to do things and the search engines tend to look at them as individual domains anyway. Using sub-domains, your sites would look like these examples if the domain name you registered was videoreview.com…

product1.videoreview.com
product2.videoreview.com
product3.videoreview.com

You can set up these sub-domains in HostGator (Step #2) in your control panel. It’s really easy, basically, you will just log in to your hosting account and click on the icon labeled “Subdomain”, fill in the blank box with the name you want to use, in the example above, we would have used product1 and click the add button. It will automatically create a folder in your main domains file structure named “product1″ (this is where you would upload the files for that site, it then maps it to show the correct site when someone goes to product1.videoreview.com.

If you want to quickly set up and manage huge networks of these sub-domains & video blogs, you might want to Install Wordpress MU instead of the standard Wordpress. With Wordpress MU you can run hundreds of thousands of blogs with a single install of WordPress.

Watch How Simple Using Wordpress MU Is!

AUTO SOCIAL POSTER - Automate bookmarking of your blog posts from hundreds or even thousands of blogs. TIP: Add your new blog posts to an unlimited number of accounts. This is where you can blast traffic to your niche. Instead of just randomly dumping all of your URLS into an account like most other software, how about creating different bookmarking accounts that are used to post about different topics or niches. This is easy to set up with Auto Social Poster.

MONTHLY PLR CONTENT- If you watched the video above, you saw how easy it was to create sub-domain blogs using Wordpress MU and add in PLR content. He was using Adsense to make money (google ads) which you can also do but drop in a video or two like we’ve been talking about here that presells a related product and place a convient link underneath the video, like I’m doing here actually, that’s not my video but he does a great job of showing you how Wordpress MU works and even presells Auto Social Poster (convenient link above) and the benefits of acquiring monthly plr content (convenient link above), and you are two steps ahead of him.

Note: You could even post a few video clips for Auto Social Poster and vids demonstrating different uses of PLR Content here if you wanted to, which I would have done had this entire post not primarily been for demonstration purposes.

Now, you can come along and post a few comments under assumed names on your blog to make it appear even more active. Using the assumed name method, you can actually post links to other related products and make it look like it came from actual visitors which may lead other people to more inclined to investigate the alternative products since they were apparently brought into play by a third party, for example you could make a comment thread like the one below…

As a side note, if you are comfortable doing so, you can edit your blogs themes comments.php and remove the part referring to the date on comment posts so you can enter all the “comments” at one time or you can just space the posts out over several days.

Want to make your embedded videos really stand out? Then take a look at these cool Video Skins! Unique Video Template Skins That Scream… Watch Me! Also includes skins for Video Testimonials and Video Squeeze Pages.

One key here is to stay on the cutting edge! Watch as new products are released and jump on them right away while the demand is high. If you do it right, you can rank really well for important search phrases. As a matter of fact, take a look at the sample I gave above, here’s a link to a Google search for “The 12 Month Millionaire Review“, that video post is listed #4 of 2,330,000 results (at the time of writing this post).

Now imagine, having hundreds or thousands of pages ranked like that!

The serps are ever changing and as more and more people jump on board promoting a new product, you will inevitably see your listing drop. That’s why it’s so crucial to always be one of the first in.

Good luck with your video marketing and…

Best Wishes,
Gail

  1. Hey, great information here and I can’t wait to put it to use! One thing I would suggest though is to look at PLR Wholesaler instead of the one you suggested. The quality is much better, it is sold in very limited quantities so it will give you better search engine results! Other than that, awesome post!

  2. Hey PLR Guy, you are right about how important it is to have unique content, I’ve found that by using the Wp Spinner WordPress Plugin, I don’t have to worry about that. With WP Spinner you dynamically vary the content of every blog post and page (and even header, sidebar and footer), so that every single pageview gets a different variation. No two pageviews of the same page are ever exactly the same. oh yea, excellent post, thanks!

  3. I have several sites running on Joomla that I would like to try this method on, is there anyway to avoid the duplicate content on Joomla using plr content or is it only for Wordpress? Thanks if you can help!

  4. I also use Joomla, and would be interested in knowing if there was something that would work for that!

  5. I took a look around and it seems that the same guys who created the Wordpress spinner also have one that works with Joomla or any php site really. You can find it here >> Php Spinner.

  6. THANKS Wordpress Guy!! I took a look and it looks like it will do exactly what I need! I appreciate it!

  7. No problem New Guy, glad to help
