Google AdWords are not for every business or individual. They can be very useful or they can be absolutely ineffective too. Google AdWords could be the most effective way if used correctly. Many a home based business owners are having a field day driving targeted traffic to their sites using Google AdWords. Google has a free tool that can be effectively used by owners of home based businesses and SEO (search engine optimizing) experts to drive highly targeted traffic to web sites and blogs. It is important for the home based business owners to decide the niche their business falls into. Then they have to make a list of relevant words and phrases that will relate to that niche. Then by entering each keyword and phrase individually and carrying out the search on the AdWords tool, web masters can make lists of the most relevant phrases that have been searched by people in the past month and year.
The AdWords tool will present users with a list of keywords and phrases in an alphabetical order and besides these words and phrases there will be additional data showing how many times that word or phrase has been searched on Google in the past month -these will sometimes be in the tens of millions.
Web masters can then choose the most searched keywords (relevant to their niche) and write 450 – 500 word articles inserting these words strategically in the paragraphs. These articles are called Optimized articles. These articles are then posted on various article directories on the internet. People who enter these words used in the article into any search engine will automatically be directed to a link on the search engines that will open the article. The article will then direct them to the site that contains the actual product.
The Google AdWords Program actually sells some very relevant keywords to webmasters. They do this through a bidding process. The highest bidder will get a particular AdWord or AdPhrase that will be allotted to a particular site of choice. Every time someone clicks on that AdWord or phrase Google will deduct an amount from the deposit made by the web master. This is however, not a guaranteed way of getting traffic because if someone bids higher he or she will get the traffic and you will be left in the shallow. So if you want to use AdWords go the organic SEO way and write articles around them and get your own traffic for your home based business.
