eWriter Pro is a professional ebook creator. Basically it’s a word processor with the ability to save as a .pdf file, (ebook format).  This is great and everything but is it work the money? I mean, I know of other programs out there that are free. Let’s review it!

Let me say right out of the gate here that creating your own ebooks is the way to go! If you really want to make a living online, there is no better way than creating and selling your own ebooks. Of course, that is just my opinion and let me explain why I feel this way.

When you are promoting other peoples products, they are making money from your efforts. They are making money from your efforts and probably the efforts of hundreds or even thousands of other peoples.

Let me ask you, would you rather sell someone elses $50 ebook and receive a $25 commission for that sale or would you rather have 100 people sell your $50 ebook and earn the same $25 per ebook? I would rather earn the $25 from the efforts of others.

When selling your own ebooks, you can sell them through Paypal, Clickbank or PayDotCom. These are companies that will process your payments for you.

I use and highly recommend DL Guard. It really is the backbone of my ebook sales empire. It serves first and foremost as a download protection system that dynamically assigns a link for your customers to download the ebook after it verifies their payment was received. It does much more than that though, you can click the link above to learn more about it.

Back to creating your own ebooks quickly before we move on. If you aren’t sure what all is involved in creating your own ebooks, let me say that it is not that difficult. There are many ways to create info products such as purchasing and compiling private label rights articles or even outsourcing the writing part to an experienced ghost writer.

Since this review is really about eWriter Pro, I won’t go on too long about “why you should create your own ebooks” , since you’re reading this, I’ll assume you are already to that point but if you do want some detailed information, I recommend reading “How To Create Your Own Ebook Enterprise” and looking through these other “Info Product Creation” products. Lot of good information and tools there.

Ok, let’s get back to eWriter Pro, shall we.

As I said in the beginning of this post, there are free software programs out there that will do what eWriter Pro does. One of the best is Open Office.

Open Office is essentially a free to use productivity suite substitution for MS Office. You can choose to install the spreadsheet and database utilities if you don’t have MS Office or you can choose to just install the writer if you do.

Open Office is a solid tool and can also be a little complicated to use, especially for the novice because it is designed to be a fully functioning word processor.

eWriter Pro on the other hand was designed for one thing and that is easily writing and creating ebooks. The layout is simple, the buttons are intuitive and specific.

Notice how well laid out this is.

Taking a look at another panel inside eWriter Pro…

You’ll see simple buttons you can use to insert headers, footers and page numbers as well as pictures, page breaks, images and hyperlinks. These things can also be done in Open Office but most definitely aren’t this simple and well laid out since creating ebooks is not it’s main purpose.

eWriter Pro comes with a very nice, 27 page manual that walks you step by step through creating an ebook using this software including how to set the security on your new ebook to prevent others from copying it.

It’s only $7 so it is one I would recommend if you are looking for something simple yet powerful to use for quick ebook creation.
